# North Cyprus Car Rental: Deposit & Insurance Guide ## How the deposit works Most agencies place a **pre-authorisation** on your credit card at pick-up. KKTC Rental's standard deposit is: - Economy / Compact: **£250** - SUV / Estate: **£400** - Premium / Luxury: **£700** The amount is held — not charged — and released automatically within 7–14 days after you return the car undamaged with a full tank. ### Debit cards We accept debit cards for the deposit if you select the **Zero Excess Plus** package (an extra £4/day).
