What documents do I need to rent a car in North Cyprus?
A valid driving licence (held at least 1 year), passport or national ID, and a credit card for the deposit. EU, UK, TR and international licences are accepted.
What is the minimum driver age?
21 for standard cars, 25 for premium and SUV categories. Some premium models require the licence to have been held for 2+ years.
How does the deposit work?
The deposit is pre-authorised (held, not charged) on your credit card. After the vehicle is returned and inspected, the hold is released — typically within 3–7 working days.
Is North Cyprus left-hand or right-hand traffic?
North Cyprus drives on the left like the UK. Steering wheels are on the right. City limit is 50 km/h, highway 100 km/h. Seatbelts and licence rules are strictly enforced.
What does the insurance cover?
All rentals include mandatory third-party and standard CDW. Full coverage (Super CDW + glass/tyre/audio) is available for an extra £8–£15/day.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 48 hours before pickup — full refund. Within 48 hours, the first-day rate is charged.
How is fuel handled?
Vehicles are delivered with a full tank and must be returned full. If short, the missing fuel is charged at pump price + a £10 service fee.
Can I cross to the South (Republic of Cyprus)?
No. Vehicles rented in North Cyprus are not covered by insurance for travel into the Republic of Cyprus and crossing breaches the rental contract.
Which payment methods are accepted?
We accept credit and debit cards, cryptocurrency (Bitcoin and others), and cash. Online payments are processed securely via Stripe.
